We’re proud to partner with this technological leader. The company produces a handheld exam kit – about the size of a small digital camera – and a mobile device app that lets parents perform guided medical exams anytime and anywhere. The system can take a child’s temperature via an infrared sensor and illuminate and capture the throat, skin, and even the ears with lighted attachments! It also has the ability to send us audible sounds to listen to your child’s heart, abdomen, and lungs. Parents can then share information with us instantaneously through the mobile app using wifi or cellular data. TytoCare’s device can also store the information to send later if needed. This feature comes in handy when your child becomes ill in the middle of the night, or when coming to a clinic isn’t feasible. TytoCare can capture the diagnostic readings as they happen for evaluation later during your next telehealth appointment.
The device will help us to assess, diagnose, and possibly recommend an integrative treatment plan for many of the most common pediatric conditions through a video visit like never before, such as:

We enjoy seeing our patients in person, but TytoCare’s system provides convenient, state-of-the-art telehealth capabilities for times when it is not possible to come in for care.
Parents can purchase TytoCare’s device through us already integrated with our practice for about the cost of a very basic mobile phone. Visits are included as part of your membership or may be paid at the time of the appointment on a fee for service basis. This device can then be used by the entire family for future telehealth appointments. The benefits go way beyond your traditional phone or video conference conversations. This system allows us to assess whether the child can avoid, or should receive, further treatment such as an x-ray or urgent care visit.
