Ayurveda / Naturopathy
Our integrative approach to pediatric health uses the knowledge of ancient medical traditions combined with our expertise in Western Pediatric care to develop an individualized care plan for each patient. Our providers bring knowledge in the following traditions which allow us to offer the most holistic and natural approach to focus on the source of the disease rather than just treating the symptoms. Our goal is to guide you and your child to a lifetime of healthy habits and healthy living.
Ayurveda
The word Ayurveda means “knowledge of life”. Ayurveda is the oldest continuously used health care system on earth. It is part of the Vedic tradition of knowledge that originated in India over 5000 years ago. The focus of Ayurveda is on identifying the cause of the problem rather than just masking the symptom with a prescription. The treatments are simple and natural and children enjoy following them because they bring relief in a gentle natural way. Therapies involve bringing the system back into balance and often involve changing the diet or the daily routine.

Hear what our patients are SAYING
People describe in their own words how they have been helped . . .
WATCHAromatherapy, music therapy, or stress reduction techniques like yoga and meditation may be used to bring the body back into alignment with its own natural rhythms. Herbal formulas may be recommended for a specific imbalance. Rather than creating side effects, these natural treatments boost immunity and actually create side benefits, or unexpected positive change in the overall mental, physical, and emotional health of your child.
Naturopathy
Naturopathic medicine is a system that uses natural remedies to help the body heal itself. It embraces many therapies, including special diets, vitamins, herbs, massage, exercise and nutritional counseling to assist the natural healing processes.
Naturopathy was brought to the United States from Germany in the 1800s, but some of its treatments are centuries old. Today, it combines traditional treatments with modern science.
The goal of naturopathic medicine is to treat the whole child — that means mind, body, and spirit. It also aims to heal the root causes of illness — not just stop the symptoms.
